Household Artifacts

My husband and I recently moved into a 19th century farmhouse that has been in his family for nearly 70 years. We moved into the house already occupied by some family possessions from three generations. I chose to photograph some of the artifacts/fragments from these left over lives. Each object has a character from years of cherishing, use, and neglect. The extreme close up with the pinhole camera brings the viewer in intimate contact. Half real and half imagined histories come to life in the reexamination and importance of lives lived.
